Grand Brooklyn Heights Townhouse
This project was a true collaboration between our design team, our wonderful clients, Rinehardt Miller Interiors, and SMR Craftworks. We were excited to work with the design team for the second time, after we completed a renovation on their previous home years ago. We restored and reimagined the grand house with bold colors, fun finishes, and design decisions that transformed an already beautiful home.
At the rear of the kitchen, restored leaded glass windows and a reactivated bench seat along the bay create a cozy seating area.
A Lacanche range in blue canard was one of the client's first selections, creating a visual focal point in the bright, sunny kitchen.
We worked closely with SMR Craftworks and their fabricators to design custom painted and metal cabinetry. The gorgeous stone countertops are treated with MORE AntiEtch treatment, increasing the functionality of the space.
Throughout the parlor level, we spent a great deal of care restoring the historic leaded glass windows, keeping the existing proportions in mind throughout the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
We repointed the original brick archways and left the original stone walls exposed, allowing the home's history to be showcased as the wine cellar walls and along the cellar staircase.
On the upper floors, we created multiple spaces for the family to hang out throughout the year.
